Learning Initiative Award
Formal recognition is wonderful, and this is our second year in a row!
At the Asia Pacific Learning Impact Awards 2023 we were recognised as winners of the award for Diversity and Inclusion Learning Initiative and finalists for “Learning Solution of the Year (External)”.
The award ceremony was held at The Star, Gold Coast on Thursday 9th March 2023. It was one of many events offered by the Institute for Learning and Performance as part of the two-day Learning Summit 2023 on 9-10 March 2023.
Last year LB Learning Solutions won the inaugural “Diversity and Inclusion Learning Initiative” award and this year we have won it again.
Asia Pacific Learning Impact Awards (ALIA) 2023
It is a terrific honour to receive recognition like this from the industry body: Asia Pacific Institute for Learning and Performance.
Winning an award for the very work we pride ourselves on makes it all worthwhile, and to be recognised as a finalist for Learning Solution of the Year was extra icing on the cake. It affirms the importance of the work we do.
Neurodiversity project
The projects we were recognised for at this year’s awards were a collaborative effort with Employ for Ability (EFA).
We worked for more than 15 months to develop a range of workshops to prepare neurodiverse individuals for the workplace. Specifically, the introductory 10 week Communication program is the jewel in the crown. It was designed in collaboration with brilliant subject matter expert and lead facilitator Martina Johnson. All of the programs incorporate targeted workshops, coaching, resources and supports, and are based around human connections and interaction. The results speak for themselves.
Congratulations to lead designer Lyndal Box, and all who worked on the EFA projects in 2022. Contributors from Employ for Ability included: Martina Johnson, David Smith and Anne Smith. Contributors from LB Learning Solutions were Mark Ziemnicki and Lauren Millar. We also received critical input from coaches, facilitators and learners from Employ for Ability.
