Workshop content

“Digital accessibility support – general” Workshop includes:

  • How a screen reader user navigates your website, learning management system, social media, documents, eLearning – real time demonstration
  • What issues need to be addressed? What needs to be avoided?
  • How to present digital content (including images and video)
  • How to maximise readability for different audiences
  • How to ensure adequate colour contrasts for text and backgrounds
  • What needs to be done to achieve compliance with standards recognised under Australian law and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • What assistive technology users need for their digital experience to be a good one
  • How to determine suitable user experience testing requirements for your audience.

  • Choosing suitable fonts and adequate colour contrasts
  • Applying focus order, suitable fonts and contrasting colours
  • Image descriptions and features for other media including video
  • How do we make eLearning output compliant with standards recognised under Australian law and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
  • How do we test for user experience and accessibility?
  • How do we meet specific client expectations?
  • Apply learnings under direct guidance (brief)

Tailored accessibility workshops

Workshop content

Specific content is negotiable at time of booking.

Participants are encouraged to:

  • Bring own documents / files to work on
  • Use own device/s and software
  • Prepare questions ahead of the workshop
  • Be prepared to discuss and demonstrate known accessibility issues that require alternative accessible solutions
  • Advise of any accessibility non-compliances and / or user complaints that need to be addressed
  • Allow adequate time after the workshop to make further alterations as needed.

Ongoing support is available through individual support sessions.

Individual support

Workshop content

Sessions are tailored to suit you. You are encouraged to bring your own document/s, links and questions.

Screen sharing (and in some cases remote control access) can be used as needed or requested

Workshops with Lyndal Box

Three (3) hour workshop for up to 6 people.

In addition to the topics covered in each workshop, a small amount of time is used to practice learning under guidance, and to answer questions.

All attendees receive a digital accessibility checklist to take away for personal use.
